The Mitchell "Experience"

Part of the purpose of this trip was to share some of my past experiences with Trish. Ranking high on the list of "you gotta see this" is the soon to be ghost town of Mitchell, Oregon. How these folks hang on here is beyond me. Most of the town is amusing in it's smallness. They are getting a new bridge on the west side of town which is probably the biggest thing to hit them in decades. The caged bear exhibit is gone (I suspect PETA) but they do manage to have a pretty nice town park. 

I made the rookie mistake of engaging a local (the owner or the one store in town) on the subject of the weather, BIG mistake. A politer person than me might still be there listening. . .
